The team you will be a part of The Electrical Engineering team designs, develops or coordinates development of components, small systems, quality systems, processes or materials.This role in summary

In this position the Engineer will play a key role as focal point of sensors, actuators, lighting modules and wiring harness and will work with:

Electrical Architecture Teams, 

EESI Subsystems (Simulation, Hardware, Software etc.)

Platform teams (Cooking, Laundry, Dishwashing, Refrigeration)  

On development, integration of electrical components into products to achieve product performance targets including complexity reduction, cost and quality improvements.  

 

Your responsibilities will include

Write specifications for new sensors, actuators, lighting module and wiring harness

Develop new sensors, actuators, lighting modules and wiring harness using Electronics, Mechanics and Physics knowledge.

Validate (Test and Approve) new sensors, actuators, lighting modules and wiring harness in partnership with laboratory teams.

Own roadmaps and strategy plans around specific Sensors, Actuators, Lighting modules and Wiring Harness. 

Support cost and quality improvement projects over existing parts.

Create Electrical Schematics using Creo Schematics and ability to read and apply wiring schematics of electrical principles;

Create Harness models and drawings using Creo Cabling (3D & 2D);

Define routing strategy by understanding assembly and safety requirements.

Minimum requirements

Bachelor in Electrical Engineering

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electronics/Electromechanics development

Advanced English (verbal and written)

Availability for travels (regional/international, once a year on average.)

Willingness to learn Creo Schematic and Creo Parametric Cabling

Preferred skills and experiences

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related field.

Experience in Sensors and Electromechanical Actuators application or development.

Knowledge/Certification on 6-Sigma tools and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. 

Familiar with UL/IEC standard, preferred IEC 60335-1.

Presentation and communication skills;

Ability to work cross-functionally and globally.

Proficient in creating schedules and executing them independently.

Experience with electrical systems on appliances
