Job Description

Summary:

This position seeks a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and hands-on experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems. Responsibilities will include:

Design and Analysis of Electrical Systems: The electrical engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing electrical systems for a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects.
Preparation of Plans and Specifications: The electrical engineer will prepare plans and technical specifications for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Supervision of Installation and Maintenance: The electrical engineer will oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring they are completed safely and efficiently.
Troubleshooting: The electrical engineer will be responsible for resolving technical issues related to electrical systems and recommending cost-effective solutions.
Communication and Collaboration: The electrical engineer must have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, and clients.

Responsibilities:

- Design, analyze, and optimize electrical systems to meet project requirements.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive plans and technical specifications.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Perform tests and analyses to ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems.
- Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot technical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and standards in the electrical industry.
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to ensure project success.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Some intermediate-level managerial experience supervising construction and renovation projects in the field.
- Preferably hold an EIT or PE license.
- 30-hour OSHA Construction Certification from PR-OSHA.
- Knowledge of blueprint interpretation.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; use of email.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with active listening to understand.
- Ability to see the broader perspective and consider the long-term consequences of actions.
- Public speaking ability to present reports, offer orientations, and conduct formal training for groups.
- Proven leadership skills, initiative, and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to supervise, discipline fairly, and make decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Tolerance to stress and ambiguity and the ability to adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.
