Our client, a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation for delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries, is urgently looking for an experienced and highly skilled Electrical Engineer for Hyperscale Data Centre project. As Electrical Engineer you are responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components to ensure required specifications and standards are met.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Responsible for electrical design review identifying design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.
Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay.
Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.
Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance.
Complete electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings.
Develop and execute test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and components.
Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability.
Ensure that all electrical work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment on-site.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the mechanical and electrical contracting environment.
Data Centre experience is desirable.
In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, materials, and relevant codes and standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
