We are searching for an Electrical Engineer for a 1 yr. contract assignment. The person will be helping develop the BESS Plant Control Code Library. This involves creating and maintaining documentation for engineering rationales behind all future changes to the BESS master library. Additionally, this role will implement change management practices to ensure SCADA integrators use the most current library code, which incorporates best practices and lessons learned. This role will also support a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) template for our BESS and PV assets, which will be utilized to validate Plant Controls operability prior to release for commissioning.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning and organizing an engineering project and the application of complex engineering skills requiring advanced knowledge. Makes independent decisions which are not regularly subject to technical review. Will be responsible involves creating and maintaining documentation for engineering rationales behind all future changes to the BESS master library. Gather and correlate basic engineering data using well defined engineering procedures, which may include routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a college or university accredited by ABET, or recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent. Minimum 10 years’ electrical engineering experience in power generation plant. Professional Engineering certification strongly preferred, but not required. Understanding of power plant design and power system software. Experienced with various Microsoft software programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with power system software analysis: PSS/E, PSLF PSCAD, ETAP, etc. is a plus. SCADA platform, Modbus, Ignition , OPC Tool: Emerson, python is a plus. Any brand is PLC is fine like Allen Bradley. Strong organizational, interpersonal communication and management skills. Highly motivated, self-starter, ability to work well with others and be a good team player
