Salary: $60,008 - $70,012, commensurate with education and experience
Are you an innovative Electrical Engineer or Computer Scientist with a passion for excellence? We’re seeking a talented professional to join our team in Albany, NY, where you’ll lead efforts in designing, developing, and testing hardware and software systems, including circuit design and embedded systems. You’ll work on hardware-software integration for next-generation technology solutions—all with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Define and develop electrical and electronic system requirements, aligning with consumer needs and product goals.
Innovation & Testing: Devise and implement robust testing methods to verify the functionality, quality, and efficiency of electrical/electronic systems.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure designs meet federal and state regulations; maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Project Leadership: Lead project completions by training and mentoring team members; uphold confidentiality and ethical standards across all tasks.
Equipment & Safety: Keep equipment operational by following established protocols and addressing repair needs; maintain adherence to safety and compliance policies.
What You’ll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required; dual degree in Computer Science preferred.
Experience: Proven background in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in design software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
+ Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, mobile app development)
+ Experience with PCB design, microcontrollers, and data acquisition
+ Strong foundation in data analysis, electronic systems troubleshooting, and reporting research results
Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; strong project management and multitasking abilities.
