Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Engineer Supervisor- PE Are you ready to dive into the dynamic world of Industrial and Commercial electrical consulting? Join our team, where you'll engage directly with owners, clients, architects, M&P firms, manufacturers, contractors, and municipalities, ensuring seamless project execution from start to finish. Key Responsibilities + Communication: Direct liaison between stakeholders including owners, clients, architects, M&P firms, and more. + Project Scope: Define and maintain project scope requirements, handle additional services, and ensure interdisciplinary coordination. + Site Surveying: Assess existing electrical conditions through comprehensive site surveys. + Design & Drafting: Create power distribution layouts and circuiting for buildings, site equipment, and HVAC systems using AutoCAD and Revit. + Plan Review: Conduct preliminary architectural plan reviews and provide redlining and markups. + Code Compliance: Adhere to National Electrical Code and IECC lighting standards and controls. + Calculations: Perform SES sizing, wire sizing, breaker sizing, voltage drop calculations, load calculations, fault current calculations, and more. + Construction Administration: Handle submittals, RFI’s, and construction administration tasks. + Mentoring: Guide and mentor drafters in design standards. + Consulting: Offer expert electrical consulting services within an MP&E firm. Required Skills & Experience + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. + Certifications: PE or EIT certification. + Technical Proficiency: Expertise in SKM, AutoCAD, Revit, MATLAB, and Cisco Systems Products. + Design & Drafting: Proficient in drafting construction documents and designing power & lighting distribution systems. + Code Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code and IECC lighting standards. + Project Management: Strong project management skills with a focus on QA/QC (50% of the role). + Supervision: Experience supervising a team, including handling timecard checks, OOO planning, and employee reviews. + Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in electrical design and systems. + Additional Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, programming, and network administration.
