Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to design and develop hardware solutions and firmware for various microprocessors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design and layout using Altium Designer, as well as experience in system integration and debugging. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met. Responsibilities + Design and develop hardware solutions using Altium Designer, ensuring robust and cost-effective designs. + Develop and implement firmware for various microprocessors, emphasizing board bring-up and system integration. + Test, debug, and optimize hardware and firmware components to meet product specifications and quality standards. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware and firmware requirements for new products or enhancements. + Document design processes, analysis, and testing results for technical reports and product specifications. + Participate in product risk review meetings and contribute to the generation of software requirements and verification plans. + Ensure compatibility and integration of hardware and firmware with Linux-based systems. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. + Proven experience in firmware and hardware design, with a portfolio of projects to demonstrate skills. + Proficient in using Altium Designer for PCB layout and schematic capture. + Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, with a solid understanding of embedded systems development. + Experience with board bring-up, firmware development, and system integration. + Knowledge of operating systems, particularly Linux, and its interaction with hardware. + Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in the design and development of medical devices and consumer products adhering to industry standards and regulations (ISO 13485 and ISO 9001). + Familiarity with writing software requirement specifications and conducting software verification tests. + Practical knowledge of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other similar platforms for prototyping and testing. + Visual Design and Design Thinking skills. + User Research and UX Research skills. + Experience in product design and development. + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Work Environment This position is 100% onsite, working alongside two other engineers on the team. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a backlog of over 8,000 engineering hours, offering ample opportunities for growth and development. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $62.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
