We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for conducting engineering calculations, load calculations, equipment selection, energy analysis, psychrometrics, controls, fixture loading, pressure loss, duct sizing, writing specifications, and more. This role requires effective time and budget management to meet project deliverables and schedules, as well as the ability to utilize AutoCAD and Revit to complete drawings. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of calculating power and lighting loads for new and existing building systems. Reviewing local and national codes, performing code analyses, and designing life safety (fire alarm) systems are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves selecting and designing layouts of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems.
ResponsibilitiesConduct engineering calculations, load calculations, and equipment selection.Perform energy analysis and psychrometric assessments.Manage time and budget to meet project deliverables and schedules.Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to complete drawings.Calculate power and lighting loads for new and existing building systems.Review local and national codes and perform code analyses.Design and implement life safety (fire alarm) systems.Select and design layout of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, electrical panels, emergency generators, UPS systems, and power distribution systems.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.3-8 years of experience in electrical design for building systems such as power distribution, lighting, and electrical panels.Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit.Experience in load calculation.Experience managing small to medium-sized projects.Knowledge of building codes and data center design.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Data Center/Commercial projects.LEED accreditation and Green Building initiatives are preferred.Mission Critical experience is preferred.Commissioning experience is a plus.E.I.T or PE certification.Work Environment
The work environment includes being in the office 4 days a week with the option to work remotely on Fridays. The team consists of 2 architects, 6 engineers, principals, and administrative staff, totaling about 15-20 people. There is an opportunity to work on complex projects across the US, providing a great professional experience with heavy infrastructure.
