ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – JD
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Strong communication skills and proficiency in computer applications.
Required Skills and Experience: 10-12 years of experience in electrical and/or instrument maintenance, including at least 7 years in a supervisory role. Expertise in managing costs, budgets, contracts, and preparation of tender specifications in line with local and international regulations. Knowledge of local contractors and cross-disciplinary collaboration is an advantage. Proven technical troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex technical issues effectively. Experience in problem identification, creative solutions, and transitioning from concepts to designs. Proficiency in project planning, modeling, design evaluation, and report preparation. Skilled in implementing and monitoring project progress, including supervision and inspection. Hands-on experience with fit-out and renovation projects. Strong understanding of tender package preparation, including BOQs, technical specifications, and tender drawings. Familiarity with ELV systems such as BMS, PMS, SCADA, A/V, and ACS.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee electrical maintenance for non-operational buildings and facilities across multiple locations, ensuring cost optimization and adherence to HSSE standards. Provide technical direction and assistance for non-routine, high-cost maintenance tasks to achieve optimal outcomes. Review and approve BOQs, scopes, and technical specifications for new tenders. Participate in technical and commercial evaluations, pre-tender meetings, and prepare evaluation reports. Coordinate site mobilization for contractors, including access permits, placement of facilities, and orderly mobilization of resources. Ensure compliance with corporate contract procedures and develop/review maintenance procedures, guidelines, and work instructions. Plan and oversee inspections of QatarEnergy buildings and facilities, ensuring final acceptance and compliance with standards. Arrange inspections of new leased buildings/accommodations and prepare reports to identify necessary upgrades. Review justifications, cost estimates, and project outlines for inclusion in annual budgets and submissions.
