**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Drive VCP ideation through BOM cost analysis, sourcing spend data, value analysis, should cost analysis, cross functional coordination with MR functional electrical design colleagues, and brainstorming sessions focused on system level platform design optimization strategies.
+ Participate and lead electrical HLA internal and competitive teardowns of products to benchmark the cost, design, and perform cost to function analysis efforts.
+ Own and drive electronic design teardown workshops: involve cross functional teams for ideation sessions - idea funnel generation and identify VCP, platform opportunities for resource alignment prioritization.
+ Data analysis – cost / BOM / technical attributes / design elements to identify areas of standardization and optimization
+ Develop part category specific database with technical attributes for analysis and to optimize and create standard libraries
+ Design to cost, Design for Manufacturing and Design to Value mindset
+ Experience in program management – ownership of outcomes
+ Communication with global cross functional teams
+ Business case: develop ROI models by considering true cost of change
+ Execution of ideas: project plan, develop design solution, prototyping, verification and validation, ECR implementation
+ Define standard processes and develop playbooks to engrain processes into functional teams
+ Evaluate and refine new concepts and develop innovations that can be developed to become benefits in new products
+ Perform electrical part FMEAs, and reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability analyses.
+ Selecting hardware and material, assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements. Working with technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize hardware designs. Investigate new and alternate materials with cross functional electrical design owners.
+ Testing and verifying hardware to ensure that it meets specifications and requirements, including documentation and analysis of results.
+ Engaging in hardware lifecycle management and Vitality, including solutions to obsolescence, verification of design solutions, improvement of manufacturing process, and cost out opportunities.
+ Working cross-functionally with engineering teams to understand system interactions and dependencies, accounting for these integration points within development plan.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and at least 5 years relevant work experience
+ Broad knowledge of key areas of electrical engineering including signal processing, circuit design, simulation, layout, fabrication and testing
+ Working experience with PWA/PWB/motor control and subsystem design techniques for signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC circuit design.
+ Capability on electrical design tools and simulation tools Cadence, MATLAB, PSPICE, etc.
+ Experience in the localization and cost reduction is preferred
+ Ability to design, execute, analysis experiment
+ Effective oral and written communication skills which need global cooperation.
