Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description Our client is a full-service Architecture, Engineering & Construction management firm located in Herndon, VA. They are currently seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to join their team. Their projects primarily focus on data centers and mission-critical work, but also include office spaces, recreational/community centers, and fire stations. Responsibilities + Design lighting, power systems, and fire alarms for mission-critical facilities + Prepare electrical drawings and specifications + Review submittals + Conduct field surveys to verify existing electrical installations + Develop single-line diagrams and floor plans from field surveys Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering + 5-10 years of experience + Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD + Experience in the design of large commercial buildings such as data centers and mission-critical facilities + Strong writing and communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with BIM and Revit is a plus + EIT certification + Specific experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other large commercial buildings + Proficiency in creating construction documents including floor plans, one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, section details, and panel schedules Work Environment This is a full-service engineering firm with a team of 30 people. The work schedule includes 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely. Day-to-day tasks include designing in AutoCAD, conducting site visits, and interacting with architects and other clients.
