Job Description
Design interface electronics for instruments, components, and products for commercial, space, industrial, and domestic applications. You will work with a team of engineers to apply fundamental engineering principles to design, analyze, develop, test, and debug components and systems. Common tasks include PCB design, assembly, and troubleshooting, designing and assembling complex wiring and power systems, and coordinating with board manufacturing partners.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the complete design cycle of electrical subsystems, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, development testing, and qualification.Perform engineering calculations to validate component and system design.Generate manufacturing drawings to ensure form, fit, and function.Create documentation for assembly and testing of electrical systems.Prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.Design, order, assemble, and evaluate design features to ensure form, fit, and function.Essential Skills4-8 years of experience.Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.Experience with electrical system design, prototyping, and assembly.Demonstrated skills in circuit design, PCB layout, and system testing.Proficiency with electrical design software, such as Altium Designer (Preferred).Understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and soldering standards.Experience with C/C++ and/or Python development with embedded platforms such as FPGAs, SBCs/SoMs, and microcontrollers.Ability to develop technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and circuit schematics.Detail-oriented with the ability to catch problems early on.Hands-on ability to assemble and test electrical assemblies independently.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to interface with clients for requirements development and design feedback.3 month contract Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
