You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
You will have the opportunity to perform design, development, documentation, integration, test and debug of circuit card hardware architecture for DoD systems. Hardware designs will be integrated into small form factor security devices and network systems. Responsibilities include Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, FPGA design, design documentation generation, hardware integration and test. You will be part of a high performing development team currently developing a new product for SNC.

**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 0-2 years of relevant experience
+ Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
+ Basic understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
+ Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
+ Ability to travel occasionally
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Experience and/or education of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design - Analog and Digital based hardware designs, Designs supporting Multiprocessor System on Chips (MPSoC) and FPGAs)
+ Experience and/or education of USB, gigabit Ethernet, SPI, serial, uSD (SDHC, SDXC), and I2C designs is desired
+ Experience and/or education of Schematic capture design and tools
+ Ability to generate design documentation such as Functional block diagrams, Hardware Design Specifications, and Hardware Design Descriptions, test procedures, and built-in-test methodologies
+ Experience with integration/debug tools such as digital multi-meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers for serial/USB/I2C/Ethernet, impedance analyzers, and FPGA debug tools (ChipScope)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**Responsibilities:**
+ PCB/CCA Hardware Design - ARM/ Mircrochip/Microblaze/PicoBlaze/MSP420 microcontroller designs, Serial/USB/I2C/SPI/uSD/Ethernet bus designs, MPSoC and FPGA based designs, Power supply and power sequencing design
+ Analyze and troubleshoot CCA designs
+ Build and integration of CCA designs
+ Originate specifications, design documents, verification and validation plans, procedures, reports, and other documentation in support of design and development activities
+ Prepare materials for, and conduct, periodic design reviews
+ Patriciate in design integration with customer requirements and industry standards
+ Maintain logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
+ Troubleshoot manufacturing problems such as solder profiles, solder paste, solder pad dimensions, and solder mask
+ Responsible for the design and development of units from concept through qualifications

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $84,309.10 - $115,925.01. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
