The Electrical Engineer II: Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power
Major Position Responsibilities Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products. Basic QualificationsRequired Education and Experience: Associates Degree and 2 - 4 years' experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Electrical Engineering or other Engineering degree required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Oral and Written Communication. Analytical Thinking. Circuit Design. Computer Simulation. Design Optimization. Electrical Engineering. Mathematical Analysis. Mathematical Modelling. Programming. Prototyping. Reliability Analysis. Requirements Engineering/Analysis. Research and Development. Schematic Capture. Electro-Mechanical Components/Instruments. CAD Software. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software. Interest in supporting the full range of product development from concept through final test. Hands-on experience troubleshooting components, electrical assemblies, and test equipment.
Travel Requirements: Less than 25% travel likely.
