Electrical Engineer II

This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse facility in Rock Hill, SC.  No relocation will be provided for this position.  We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.


Your Day-to-Day:

The Electrical Engineer II will work independently on engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects like electrical system, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring using Microsoft Office Suite and Software Packages like ETAP, Mathcad and Maximo.  They will interfacie w/ internal functional groups to obtain engineering information and perform planning and scheduling to meet assignment requirements while learning to evaluate, select and utilize standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria for development design documents like technical evaluations, obsolete parts equivalencies, calculations, and specifications.

 

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering  Minimum 3 years’ engineering design for electrical system design, load flow studies, short circuit, protective relay settings, instrumentation and controls and system wiring Developing procurement specifications for electrical commodities and reviewing proposals Power plant systems and projects ETAP, Maximo, or similar Interfacing w/ functional groups to perform work assignments Planning and scheduling to meet requirements Client and site personnel issue resolution Able to travel to client sites

 

Nice-to-Have:

4-6 years' experience Nuclear  FE licensure Obsolete parts Reverse engineering for electrical and mechanical parts Commercial grade dedication MS Engineering
