Join our team as an Electrical Engineer II and be a part of the engineering organization of a major company in the Oil and Gas field in the Corpus Christi, TX area. Work on a contract basis from 31-Mar-2025 to 31-Dec-2025 at a chemical plant in Gregory, TX.

Role Overview

Provide technical support for base operations and serve as an expert liaison for the site. Troubleshoot and repair complex process unit/electrical problems. Identify and communicate vulnerabilities to responsible business teams. Support risk assessments and propose cost-effective solutions. Participate in incident investigations and root cause failure analysis. Develop maintenance worklists and participate in turnarounds and improvement teams. Design and specify industrial electrical equipment for new or replacement projects. Drive improvement in site electrical equipment health and reliability. Participate in external peer assists and represent site electrical concerns in broader initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, transformers, and maintenance. Familiarity with electrical safety, design, testing standards, power system modeling, and protective relay coordination. Ability to work with a variety of personnel at different levels and communicate effectively. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for construction or repairs. Experience in chemical manufacturing and polymer production operations preferred.

Education & Experience

B.S. in Electrical Engineering; Masters candidates will also be considered. Minimum 5 years of experience in petrochemical production/manufacturing facilities. Must have Work Authorization (Green Card or US Citizenship) to work in the US.
