We're looking for an Electrical Engineer II to work within their facilities located in Notrees, TX for a long-term assignment.
Job Overview:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within the facility. This role includes supporting the commissioning and start-up of the plant, monitoring equipment performance, conducting quality audits, and providing technical support to the production and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and implement programs, methods, and systems for maintaining a safe work environment within the facility. Support the commissioning and start-up of the industrial Direct Air Capture facility, including equipment QA/QC validation, acceptance of equipment and documentation, and troubleshooting during the start-up phase. Monitor equipment performance, analyse data, and make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce operational costs. Provide QAQC support, conducting inspections, performance quality audits, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Assist in identifying and resolving quality-related issues. Prepare cost estimates and engineering proposals for routine equipment replacements or improvements to resolve maintenance issues or enhance processing equipment. Provide technical support to the production and maintenance teams to evaluate and resolve maintenance problems across the facility. Provide training to production, maintenance, and other departments on proper operation, troubleshooting, repair techniques, controls, and care of electrical equipment. Stay updated on new technologies and equipment, evaluating their applicability for use in the plant. Consult with contractors, maintenance personnel, and outside service groups on capital and maintenance projects. Develop, implement, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability. Ensure the effective execution of preventive maintenance programs and compliance with corporate standards. Establish and maintain testing and calibration procedures for electrical equipment as necessary. Recommend, establish, and update spare parts requirements for existing and new equipment. Prepare equipment specifications and purchase requests. Develop inspection, testing, outage, and repair scopes for plant equipment. Lead troubleshooting efforts for major equipment issues or recurring problems. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and operating permits. Actively participate in Health, Environmental, Safety, and Security (HESS) programs to maintain a safe and environmentally sound workplace. Promote safety by participating in safety meetings, offering safety recommendations, and encouraging safe practices among team members. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 5+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in a Power Generation or Manufacturing environment required. Strong ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and within required timelines. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and develop team members. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and respond to non-routine callouts. Physical ability to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and perform tasks such as walking, bending, and stooping. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a respirator, and respond to visual and audible alarms.
