Fillauer is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This position provides guidance, correctly applies knowledge of engineering principles, material properties, and effectively uses internal and external resources to identify solutions in relevant aspects of production, development, procurement, and distribution of products. The Electrical Engineer II will take part in both conventional and complex projects and will be tasked with management of individual projects. The ideal candidate will use sound judgement and outside resources to adapt to non-routine aspects of a problem.

Your Impact Performs development and design of electronic hardware for new and existing products.Performs design, analysis, documentation, and implementation of analog, digital, and microprocessor circuit boards and electronic sensors.Evaluates the requirements and usage of test equipment.Responsible for the continued maintenance of electronic products developed by or for Motion Control used in production, research, and marketing.Assists with the efficient transfer of newly developed products (hardware and software) from development into production including documentation.Provides technical assistance to other Motion Control personnel, as required.Participates as an active design team member for projects requiring development of electronic hardware.Ensures that appropriate personnel are informed of significant problems or concerns and provides periodic updates of progress toward project goals.Works with other division staff to aid with customer complaints or service requests in a timely, courteous, and satisfactory manner.Performs related administrative functions.Responsible for the selection and contract placement to consulting individuals and/or companies as needed for current project and workload needs.Responsible for project time and cost projections and tracking of current projects.Responsible for the investigation and selection of manufacturers and vendors of inventory items, tools, test and engineering equipment, etc.Responsible to find, whenever possible, second sources for all parts designed into new products.Performs engineering of high quality and reliable products that conform to company specifications.Performs related duties as required or assigned.  Minimum Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or other relevant engineering discipline2+ Years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering Additional Success Factors Detailed understanding of the design process, electronic and software design, and circuit interrelationships.Broad range of electronic design experience.Broad range of electronic and electromechanical processes.Mechanical reasoningStrong mathematical abilityScientific acumenCreative problem-solving skillsAbility to learn quickly and handle challenging tasks wellAbility to use hand tools, and operate test and process equipmentBasic computer skills with the ability to learn software quickly and easilyAnalytical problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent communication skillsAct with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.Keep the patient at the center of everything that you do, building lifelong trust.Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you.Continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change.Focus on superior outcomes, and calibrate work processes for outstanding results.
