Electrical Engineer OEM Hybrid - Germantown, MD
Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their OEM Design team. You will support the engineering design team for HVAC / Cooling / Mechanical Equipment that supports the Data Center Industry. The ideal candidate will have past experience designing commercial HVAC mechanical OEM Equipment specifically for cooling mission critical data center computer rooms.
Responsibilities: Research, develop, design, document and testing of Electrical and Electromechanical products and systems on new and existing industrial / commercial grade OEM EquipmentProvide electrical design of microprocessor controls and electrical power / control panels for HVAC equipment in accordance with engineering design standards, customer specifications and code requirements Provide electrical engineering design and support for application, fabrication, testing, installation, and repair of electromechanical products and systemsCreate engineering documentation related to the electrical design of HVAC equipment such as design spreadsheets, bill of materials, electrical schematics, sequence of operations (SOPs), control panel layouts, etc.Design test control equipment and develop methods for testing products and systems Provide engineering and documentation support to: sales / marketing team, field service team, etc.Evaluate field installs and recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment or system malfunctionsMachine design for manufacturability and integrationOEM Products are Engineer to Order / Made to Order environment 2 days remote / 3 days onsiteQualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Degree / BSEE / Electrical Engineer a plus3-7 years’ experience preferredElectrical CAD drafting / Solidworks / AutoCAD Zuken E3 a plusBOM creation and maintenance in MRP systemSAP experience a plusExperience working under guidelines from NFPA 70, UL 1995 and UL 60335-2-40 a plusEffective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face.Ability to work independentlyProficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook and MS ProjectSubmittal Instructions:
