We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our Rail and Transit Systems team in Auburn NSW.

Our Rail & Transit Systems (RTS) business provides a range of end to end, innovative transport solutions including: 

•       Rolling Stock Design & Manufacture 

•       Rolling Stock System Integration 

•       Fleet Through Life Support Services 

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer based at our Auburn facility to support multiple activities across the delivery lifecycle and perform design and engineering tasks on rolling stock systems. This includes producing safe, compliant, reliable and cost-effective designs, supporting production, maintenance and test & commissioning with timely engineering advice and concessions. 

You will be responsible for the preparation of engineering specifications, engineering reports, electrical calculations, design layouts, production drawings and cost estimates. You will also be responsible for the requirements definition and development of reference designs for new Electrical Systems to be incorporated into a design baseline. 

ABOUT YOU:

Degree qualifications – Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering  Are Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status and for National Engineering Register and State Registration  5 years relevant experience in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Have experience in Electrical or Electronic design Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to conduct detailed investigations and provide clear and decisive results and written reports Able to complete design and analysis of rail vehicle components and systems, typical example could be the following or equivalent: Failure Mode Effect and Critically Analysis (FMECA Strive for excellence in achieving their goals through strong leadership and commitment to the job at hand  Ability to direct, guide and motivate the team
