Job Description: The Electrical Engineer for the Water Utility Project will play a critical role in ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems within our water utility projects. This position is essential for delivering reliable and efficient electrical solutions that support the operation of water treatment plants, pumping stations, and distribution networks. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to meet project objectives, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and enhancing the overall performance and safety of our water utility infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for water utility projects, including pumping stations, treatment plants, and distribution networks. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine electrical requirements and specifications. Prepare detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts using CAD software. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical systems. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates. Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities. Ensure safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the water utility sector. Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
