Magna-Power Electronics, a Flemington, New Jersey based electronics manufacturer, is seeking a full-time summer Electrical Engineering Intern to support the company's engineering and production staff. Specific duties will include: + Work with engineering and production staff to identify improvements that lower material and labor costs + Revising bill of materials (BOMs) to change materials and production workflow + Modify schematics and electrical drawings to generate new production drawings Qualifications for this internship includes: + Enrolled in Electrical Engineering at an accredited university + Fully versed in Altium for schematic and layout and Gerber generation + Understands the printed circuit board (PCB) design process + Version control, database, and Autocad experience a plus + Working knowledge of modern automated manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) + Familiarity with electronic components functionality and packing + Working knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits + Strong programming background with Python programming experience preferred + Familiarity with modern test equipment + Excellent verbal and written skills + Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Preference will be given to candidates with some experience in the electronics industry.
