Electrical Engineering Intern - The Toro Company

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for completing a small electronic circuit board project during the course of the summer.  You will be responsible for the following tasks: 

Create a specification for the product.

Schematic capture and circuit design.

PCB layout with the help of one of Toro’s PCB designers.

Testing the finished product in the lab using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.

The work will be guided by other electrical engineers to provide mentoring and keep the project on task.  Other summer activities will include some job shadowing, possibly a vendor visit or trip to Toro manufacturing plant(s) ,and depending upon the candidate, some scripting in Python or similar language.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

Majoring in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering from an ABET accredited university.

Student shall have completed junior-level classes.

The interested candidate should have a desire to learn, collaborate, and effectively communicate in a team setting while achieving a common goal.

Shall be organized and able to use Microsoft Office programs without much direction.

Preferred skills include: Analog circuit design, digital circuit design, ARM microcontrollers, PCB design,  C programming, Python or similar Scripting Language.

Competitive Pay- The anticipated pay range is $22.00-33.00 per hour.
