Job Description
We are hiring Electrical Equipment Engineers to support the automotive OEM in the Assembly department. This role focuses on assembly-related automated equipment, maintaining high running efficiency and low mean time between failure (MTBF). The Equipment Engineer will also work on business plan or end-of-life projects to maintain or improve the assembly department's running efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesPerform problem-solving and root cause analysis, including investigations, report writing, and containment/repair activities with speed.Maintain equipment online by studying performance and reliability and developing solutions to increase uptime.Install new equipment by developing business plans and managing projects to implement new equipment for continuous improvement activities.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or 6 years’ equivalent experienceExperience with PLC programming and troubleshootingExperience with automated equipment (CO-OP or 1-2 years of experience)Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Microsoft Office programsExperience in an assembly manufacturing environmentUnderstanding of general engineering principles as they relate to assembly equipmentProject management skillsAbility to work within a team environmentStrong communication skills for interaction with multiple layers of managementWork Environment
This position is based in a large-scale automotive manufacturing plant. The equipment team consists of about 10 engineers. Work hours are 8 hours throughout the week, with the possibility of working during holiday shutdowns, paid at double time. This is a long-term opportunity with significant involvement in Electrical Vehicle production at the Marysville plant.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.50 - $38.00/hr.
