Job Title: Electrical Estimator

Job Description

A rapidly growing Electrical Contractor is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support a variety of private and public agency projects throughout NYC and the surrounding areas. Projects include private multifamily residential, NYCHA, high-rises and ground-up commercial.

ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed quantity take-offs and pricing for cost estimates for all stages of design.Price HVAC, Fire Alarm, and solar systems.Provide detailed takeoffs.Occasionally handle construction documents such as RFI's and proposals.Dependent on experience level, may be expected to go on-site walk-throughs.Manage project budgets ranging from $10k to $50M.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in Electrical Estimating.Experience supporting multifamily residential and commercial ground-up projects.Experience in pricing for fire alarm, low voltage, high voltage, generators and solar systems.Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bid2Win, ect. If you perform estimates by hand that is acceptableExperience handling RFI's and proposals.Excellent communication skills.If candidate holds 10+ years of experience, a project management background is highly preferredAdditional Skills & QualificationsClient-facing experience.Project management experience.Electrical design knowledge.AutoCAD proficiency.Work Environment

This is a salaried position with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week once training is completed. The office is located in Astoria, Queens. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The company provides equipment and estimating software. The firm is rapidly growing with a stable backlog of projects upwards of 20+ million, with multiple projects out for bid. The diverse project portfolio offers the opportunity to support both private and agency work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $68.00
