Position will be working in anAutomotive Design Studio, working with Fabrication team on the development of

Future vehicles and Showcars

 

Description:

 

 

1. Create system block diagrams, schematics, and detailed electrical designs.

2. Develop proof of concept wiring prototypes.

3. Debug custom electronics using test equipment.

4. Define electrical requirements for concepts and develop detailed performance specs

5. Spec and build battery/charging packages for high and low voltage systems

6. Develop specs to purchase electrical equipment

7. Familiarity with some common programming languages such as C, Python or I.D.E (arduino)

8. Program addressable led lighting assemblies

9. Troubleshoot interference issues in complex systems

10. Spec and build wireless communication systems for switching or triggering components

11. Soldering and desoldering of PCB’s (manufactured and breadboard)

12. Basic understanding of PCB routing and schematics

13. High level understanding of voltage regulation, relays, and switching.

14. Ability to configure clean and accessible wiring harnesses.

 

This is a very hands-on role, with experience in Arduino & Raspberry Pi programming preferred. The applicant should have background in printed circuit board (PCB) soldering, wiring harness construction, multi-pin connector build/assembly, 12V analog and digital diagnostics.

Oscilloscope and multimeter proficiency, ability to install and troubleshoot logic controllers and LED lighting.

Proficiency in 12V and 48V vehicle electrical systems and battery charging. Experience in EV battery storage and

onboard charging system highly preferred.

Experience in 12V audio systems preferred, including noise and interference isolation, amplifiers and audio playback controllers.
