Electrical Field Engineer shall provide electrical construction, technical field oversight and performance to ensure work is being performed in compliance with OSHA regulations, all state and local codes, and compliance with all accepted industry standards for electrical construction installations in support of Owner’s Orange County Advanced Power Station project.
**Responsibilities**
+ Participate and assist in monitoring the safety, environmental, and quality management of the Site Work.
+ Review design, engineering drawings for compliance with Owner provided standards, contractual terms, constructability, and engineering best practices during the design engineering phase.
+ Monitor and report on the adherence of the Owner’s Engineering Procurement Construction Contractor for compliance with project drawings, and contractual terms and conditions for all electrical construction activities.
+ Perform audit/assessment reports for equipment receipt, storage, installation, and start-up.
+ Coach, correct, and mentor Owner’s Engineering Procurement Construction Contractor and subcontractors on installation, contractual and best practices requirements.
+ Initiate discussion on deficiencies with Project Engineer, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager, Startup/Commissioning Manager, Project Manager, and Engineering Procurement Construction Contractor field personnel as required.
+ Provide input for daily, weekly, and monthly status reports for reporting project status.
+ Participate in testing, start-up, and commissioning with QA/QC and Owner’s Commissioning Manager.
+ Perform and review steady state flow analysis, ARC flash analysis, and short circuit analysis.
+ Perform technical reviews of existing and proposed relay settings for transmission lines, generators, transformers, motors, and switch gears.
+ Participate in systems walkdowns and review of the turnover packages.
**Qualifications**
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
