About the Role:
UGL Bassendean is excited to offerpermanent full-time positionsat our heavy maintenance facility inBassendean, Perth. Be part of an innovative team dedicated to the overhaul and maintenance ofHeavy Mining Equipment (HME) and Locomotive components, including wheel motors, alternators, traction motors, and more.
Thisroleoffers a Rotating RosterDay Shift: Monday to Friday, 6 am - 2.30 pm andAfternoon Shift: Monday to Thursday, 1.30 pm - 10.30 pm, Friday 1.30 pm - 7.30 pm with opportunities for overtime
Your Responsibilities as an Electrical Fitter:
As anElectrical Fitter, you'll play a crucial role in our maintenance and overhaul activities. Key responsibilities include:
Disassembling, inspecting, requalifying, and reassembling HME and Locomotive components.Measuring and inspecting critical journals and bores.Conducting brazing and insulation of cable and winding joints.Performing requalification inspections of bearings and pinions.Conducting acceptance no-load testing on components, including vibration analysis.Actively engaging in Lean practices to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.Participating in UGL'sOneHSE culture, which prioritizes safety for all team membersAbout You

A relevantElectrical FitterorElectrical Machine Repair trade qualification.Experience with AC DC traction motors, alternators, or rotating electrical equipment.Experience withGE or EMD motorsand related equipment is a plusStrong attention to detail and measurement skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.An eagerness to learn and grow within the role.What we offer
