Core Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Essential Functions What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities As an Electrical Inspector, you will: + Conduct field inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial structures to ensure compliance with the Virginia Construction Code, Virginia Maintenance Code, and ADA requirements. + Review and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and technical specifications to assess code compliance. + Provide guidance and support to contractors, architects, engineers, and the general public regarding county code enforcement programs. + Investigate complaints, issue violation notices and stop work orders, and ensure corrective actions are taken. + Maintain organized inspection records, reports, and daily logs. + Stay engaged with industry developments by participating in code-related organizations and emergency response situations when needed. Typical Qualifications What We’re Looking For: + 3+ years of electrical experience in residential and/or commercial field. + Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have held it for at least 2 years. + Willingness to work weekends and emergency on-call nights. + Must have or be able to obtain relevant certifications through the Virginia State Certification Program for Inspectors.
