DESCRIPTION 

Coca-Cola Ballina are currently seeking candidates for an Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship for its manufacturing plant based in Ballina, Co. Mayo commencing early Spring 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a fast-paced agile environment.

About the Program

The Apprenticeship Program is a 4-year program (or for a period determined by the Standards Based Apprenticeship Scheme) combining work and learning in phases. Those appointed will receive full training on site at Coca-Cola Ballina and in college.

What you will do for us

Work to health & safety requirements, always.Learn and understand the operation of equipment in the plant   including installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair.Demonstrate problem-solving skills on fixing and solving equipment issues including electrical, mechanical and instrumentation issues.Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on operations equipment.Drive equipment improvement and minimise downtime on equipment.Clear understanding of equipment performance measuresCapable of using a computerised maintenance management system to record all activity.Use Mathematics to solve technical or scientific problems.Interpret and understand technical drawings diagrams.Participate in an Agile methodology.Have ambition to learn new skills and competencies and the desire to develop these throughout the training program.

Qualifications Requirements

The minimum requirement for entry is as follows:

Leaving Certificate or approved equivalent with minimum Grade C in five subjects which must include Mathematics, English, Engineering,/Science subject.We do request that all successful candidates complete a full medical examination including an Ishihara eye vision test. This application is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or over on April 7, 2025.

Skill Requirements

Ability to work within all aspects of health & safety requirements.Aptitude for mechanical / electrical / instrumentation with excellent attention to detail.Ability to solve problems and seek out improvement opportunities in partnership and under the supervision of an experienced Technician.Quality focused, well organized, and careful with practical tasks.Ability to use maths to solve technical or scientific problems with excellent attention to detail.Ability to work as part of a team and independently on one’s own initiative.Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.An ambition to learn new skills and competencies and the desire to develop these throughout the training program.Experience or learning of the principles of Operational Excellence and how they operate in a manufacturing environment.
