Job Description

Function/Responsibilities: 

Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions is currently searching for an E&I Engineer to join our global membrane system engineering team.  This team focuses on standard and configurable systems in support of our customers and partners. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for focusing on the NAM markets such as:

Electrical & control engineering to support our membrane systems

Support the engineering effort on several programs and projects for new and existing membrane-based systems working closely with production, product managers, commercial engineers, and members of the project engineering teams as required.

Contribute to troubleshooting customer and manufacturing problems related to all membrane systems.

Engage with suppliers and third-party as necessary to optimize systems components

Support localization and technology transfer to other regions.

Support Global Products Platform engineering team objectives and process development.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements: 

Engineering degree

7+ years of experience in control panel electrical design

Basic experience with engineering standards for documentation, engineering review processes, and common regional regulatory requirements.

Creative contributor in a team environment taking initiative to propose and promote positive changes to improve quality, performance, and efficiency.

Desired: 

Experience with AutoCAD software to develop or adjust electrical drawings 

Experience in system controls to support program development 

Experience in industrial systems design either through engineering, commissioning, or manufacturing.

Experience in water treatment involving membrane separation processes (RO, UF, ED/EDI/EDR)

Experience with business management software, e.g. SAP and Eng. change processes.

Computer model development experience (excel, google sheets, etc.).

Location Requirements: 

Must be able to work hybrid (3 days/ week on-site) in Guelph, ON, Canada or Minnetonka, MN USA- this is not a remote position 

Ability to travel around 10%, domestic + international travel likely
