Job Description A large automotive company is looking for a lead electrician to join their facilities team. The candidate is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems within different facilities. Duties include troubleshooting electrical issues, installing new wiring or fixtures, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and in addition to managing maintenance schedules, planning and executing complex electrical projects, collaborating with other departments, and providing expertise in troubleshooting intricate electrical issues. Shift Details: Initial 4-8 weeks working first shift: 7:30am 3:00pm Remainder of the contract & upon conversion will be second shift: 11:00am 7:30pm Responsibilities: - Maintains, trouble shoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills. - Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation system. - Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work. - Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned. - Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices utilizing lifts and ladders. - Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems. - Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance program. Skills and Requirements - 5+ years related work experience as an Industrial or Facilities electrician. - Experience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC. - Strong knowledge of switchgears, trouble shooting of motor controls, drives and electronic components. - Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics. - Knowledge using hand tools, electrical meter and testing equipment. - Proficient with computer and mobile devices. - Good understanding of Drives and PLC - Valid Drivers License null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
