We are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a double day shift basis for our HQ site based in Wolverhampton. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our electrical systems and equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
We're looking for someone who is electrically biased, who is a true problem solver & has knowledge/experience working with CNC or machining equipment. Any further experience in test rigs would be advantageous.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
- High level of understanding of CNC equipment reactive repair and planned maintenance on a diverse range of controls including Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma and Mitsubishi.
- High level of understanding of hydraulic test system repair and maintenance with controls systems including Allen Bradley, Siemens and National instruments including a knowledge of load cells, torque transducers, pressure transducers and feedback devices.
- Understand & repair various equipment that support processes including Heat Treatment & Plating facilities.
- Understand electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Be able to understand pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical drawings & systems
- Carry out electrical diagnosis
- Carry out electrical repairs and modifications
- Capable of performing a multi skilled role when required.
- Apply the most safe, efficient and effective methods available to keep key machinery available for production.
- Liaise with external service and parts providers.
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis of Breakdowns & identify improvement opportunities.

Excellent fault finding ability with a high level of customer serviceWorking knowledge of a variety of CNC machines.HNC / City & Guilds in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical engineering or time served Apprentice qualified to NVQ Level 3Desirable skills:
Working Knowledge of a variety of industrial systems.Working Knowledge of relevant EH&S legislation.Experience in a Maintenance and/or Service Engineer role.Proven track record in identifying & problem solving.Competent in the use of a wide variety of measuring equipment.Understand Lean/Kaizen principles.Self MotivatedFlexible approach with willingness to work as part of a teamCalm under pressure and responsive to change Good communication skillsAble to work using own initiativeWillingness to train & apply a variety of new skills.About us:
