Position Title\: Electrical Maintenance Technician (Night Shift)

Location\: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Relocation Assistance\: None available at this time

Remote/Telework\: NO - Not available for this position

Clearance Type\: DoD Secret

Shift\: Night shift, this position is for a night shift electrician that works 12 hours shift (6pm to 6am) three days on, four days off - four days on, three days off every two weeks.

Travel Required\: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties\:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician (Night Shift) supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will\:

 

·         Work in a team environment using Windows-based work order system for tasking.

·         Perform circuit component repair and/or replacement.

·         Troubleshoot system circuitry problems.

·         Perform infrared scanning of circuitry panels and switch gear for overheating at connections and for other anomalies.

·         Perform other maintenance duties such as routine rounds to all mechanical and electrical rooms, operating and understanding the uninterruptible power system (UPS - Eaton mfg.).

·         Respond to any, and all, performance related anomalies on facility systems.

 

The successful candidate will\:

·         Be able to work well with others in a team environment.

·         Have a strong understanding of PPE and NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Practices.

Basic Requirements\:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience\: HS Diploma (or GED) and 1 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 0 years of general experience.

 

·         Must have 2 years of experience involving electrical systems and equipment and general O&M experience with other building systems.

·         Must have a current Colorado Journeyman Electrical License.

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

·         Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

 

Desired Requirements\:

 

·         Previous Maintenance or Service Truck experience

·         Familiarity with the following\:

o   Eaton Power Monitoring Systems

o   Maximo work order system

o   Siemens HVAC controls

o   480/277-volt power systems

o   24 volt systems

o   UPS Systems

·         Familiarity with class A Honeywell Fire Alarm Systems or possess NICET level I, II, or III
