Reporting to the Focus Factory Manager - Continuous Improvement, the Manufacturing Process Specialist is responsible for supporting and creating production work instructions, document administration, process improvements, and opportunity investigations. They also support a lean manufacturing model with overall responsibilities that include driving operational process improvements and delivering increased productivity.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Engineer Team located in London, ON, and will be onsite in London, ON.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Identify, develop, plan, and implement new product assembly cell designs and processes. Design and build electrical panels for new equipmentIncludes electrical schematics, electrical layouts and BOM creation of power and control panelsBuild production and test equipment (panel design and layout, component selection, wiring, HMI programming, testing, implementation, documentation)Develop, maintain and/or improve standard work instructions used for production, material handling and maintenance activities to support capacity planning and resource allocation. Investigates and provides solid engineering solutions for product issues, continuous improvement, and value engineering opportunities. Solves problems using a combination of standard procedures, modified standard procedures, and developed methods. Investigates and implements Engineering changes to existing products while analyzing impacts to Operational processes Train production representatives prior to roll out of new assemblies and products. Implement and maintain production process flow to maximize throughput and minimize space utilization. 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Post-secondary enrolment in Electrical Engineering Technology programs1 to 3 years of experience in electrical engineering in a manufacturing settingAbility to manage multiple priorities using project management techniques Conversant with Lean Manufacturing principlesExperience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.Hands-on skills like soldering and using basic hand tools

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Have a broad familiarity with a variety of mechanical and electrical theories and concepts
