Electrical Motors Lead
Amentum is actively seeking Electrical Motors Lead for International Fleet Support under the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) PMS 326 Follow-On Technical Support (FOTS) contract. **The work location will be at the Egyptian Naval Base in the port of Alexandria, Egypt.** This position includes a competitive benefits package. **Essential responsibilities and daily duties include:** + Assess, repair, maintain, or install electric motors, wiring, or switches. Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions or read work orders and schematic drawings to determine required repairs. + Verify and adjust alignments and dimensions of parts, using gauges and various hand tools. + Measure velocity, horsepower, Revolutions Per Minute (RPM), amperage, circuitry, and voltage of units or parts to diagnose problems, using ammeters, voltmeters, wattmeters, and other testing devices. + Repair and rebuild defective mechanical parts in electric motors, generators, and related equipment. + Complies with all safety instructions during repairs and testing of associated motor(s). **Minimum Requirements** + Possess High School Diploma or GED. + Certification in electrical motor mechanics + Ten (10) years of experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing issues with electrical motors and Five (5) years of specific shipyard or naval experience. + Working knowledge of intermediate and depot-level repair procedures, repair, maintenance standards, quality assurance specifications, and proper use of IMA industrial machinery. + Proficiency using hand tools, precision measurement tools, and equipment to perform repairs and have a thorough knowledge of standard shipyard practices. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. + Proficiency with basic computer operation and ability to create and maintain various reports and spreadsheets. + Ability to interpret vessel blueprints, ship drawings, and hydraulic system drawings in addition to research ships’ systems manuals to identify problems as they arise. + Ability to diagnose and repair technical issues, provide customer support, and contribute to the overall maintenance and improvement of hydraulic and control systems. + Ability to host pre and post shift meetings and ensure daily work is assigned, completed, and documented. + Ability to obtain a Country Clearance and Base Pass authorization. + Ability to possess a current passport at least two years before expiration after arrival in Egypt. + Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS. **Preferred Qualifications** + Prior ship maintenance experience or working knowledge of expectations and safety protocols related to a shipyard environment. + Experience working in an Arab country for long periods.
