Electrical Operator

Summary:

The Craft – Operator, Electrical is responsible for safely and efficiently performing Civil/Electrical duties at the project site.

 

Requirements:

Follows OSHA safety and operating procedures of heavy and light equipment.Operates light/heavy equipment including, but not limited to:Operates backhoe, loader, roller and rock truckOperates blade, excavator, dozer, forklift for crane erectionInspects incoming and outgoing loads, perform all pre-inspection checks and monitor equipment during operation.Reports results from pre-inspections on equipment daily, hours usage, fuel usage, deficiencies and/or maintenance required.Performs work on various types of terrain (A/T and R/T), evaluating requirements for assigned work.Maintains job site and materials in an organized and efficient order.Maintains all mobile and stationary equipment by performing preventive maintenance, i.e. tightening, cleaning, greasing and other minor maintenance and repairs. Notifies supervisor for refueling. Notifies management of any malfunctions that occur.Climbs into heavy equipment using attached ladders.Cleans interior cab area of equipment daily.Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as stated by OSHA.

Ensures that safety is the most important function and follows safe practices while working.Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors.Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) occur before scopes of work commence.Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.Follows technical, quality, and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action.Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

 

Qualifications: 

High School Diploma/GED required.CCO certification for crane operators required.CDL certification for A/T cranes required.Work experience:Level I: 0-2 years’ experience with backhoe, loader, roller and rock truck required.Level II: 0-3 years’ experience with blade, excavator and dozer in addition to level I equipment required.Level III: 1-3 years’ experience with trencher and up to 130 ton crane/crawler R/T (rough terrain) and less than 250 ton crane/crawler or A/T (all terrain) in addition to levels I and II equipment required.Level IV: 4+ years’ experience with 250 ton crane/crawler or A/T (all terrain) in addition to levels I, II and III equipment required.Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.Basic knowledge in:Fundamental knowledge of blueprintsIntermediate knowledge in:Safety TrainingFollowing Rules and RegulationsIndustry standardsOperating equipment safely and efficientlyCommunicationListening skillsComprehending and following directionsMeeting work goalsMeeting deadlinesConveying issuesFollow verbal and/or written directions accuratelyRadio useRelationship buildingAccuracy in workUse of hand tools and equipmentFunctional competencies in attention to detail, communication, casting the right shadow, accountability, and ethics and integrity.

 

Anticipated base salary range:  $21.00 - $ 26.00

 

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

 

Per Diem of $95.00 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation.
