Electrical Package Engineer

TRS Staffing has a contract opportunity for an Electrical Package Engineer. The position is outside IR35 and working on a hybrid arrangement, with 3 days per week from the office.

Responsibilities:

Develop and review electrical engineering specifications and drawings for assigned equipment and systems. Select, size, and specify electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, motors, etc.) based on process requirements and applicable codes. Perform electrical load calculations and ensure power distribution systems meet capacity demands. Conduct cable tray and raceway design, ensuring proper routing and adherence to safety codes. Develop and implement electrical grounding and lightning protection strategies. Participate in equipment selection and review vendor proposals for electrical equipment. Collaborate with process engineers to integrate electrical systems with process equipment. Support project planning and scheduling for electrical package activities. Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for electrical equipment. Contribute to the development and implementation of electrical safety procedures.
