Project teams in our Energy & Industrial Group (EIG) support industry-leading projects in power generation, plant design, environmental compliance, mid/downstream oil & gas, and multi-disciplined industrial projects. We’re leading efforts to decarbonize the industry by utilizing advanced technologies in renewable energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen power. Our EIG teams perform detailed engineering services for photovoltaic (PV) solar projects and the integration of solar and energy storage. We’re the industry leader in carbon capture technologies with experience executing pilot-scale to commercial-scale projects for utilities, industrial plants, and direct air capture. We provide engineering services for green hydrogen production via electrolysis using solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear power sources and we support on-site usage in power generation, fuel cells, and fueling stations.
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home.
This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills, while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with other designers and/or engineers in the preparation of design drawings based on design inputYou will have the opportunity to apply your computer-aided drafting skills, while receiving hands-on training in 3D design software environments, such as AutoCAD 3D and/or MicroStation.You will be involved in creating drawings to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensionsYou may accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your design projectWhile interfacing with vendors and construction contractors, you may be given the opportunity to explain your drawings so appropriate design adjustments can be made Qualifications An Associates Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experienceSix (6) or more years of physical design experience.Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation)Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computerAbility to multi-task from project to projectMust be fully bilingual in Spanish and English
