Electrical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join our team and oversee multiple projects in the Baltimore area. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. This includes coordinating with general contractors, managing resources, overseeing schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of assigned electrical projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationCollaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are metMonitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delaysEnsure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standardsPrepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and change ordersProvide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and budgetary concernsSupervise project teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as neededManage the procurement and review of project submittals, including equipment, material samples, and shop drawings, to ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual requirementsCoordinate with the procurement team to source and procure electrical materials and equipment within budget and schedule constraintsOversee the preparation and submission of project change orders, RFIs, and other contractual documentation as requiredConduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor the quality of electrical workmanship, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety regulationsImplement and maintain an effective project schedule, including critical path analysis and resource leveling, to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverablesCollaborate with the estimating team to review project plans and specifications, identify potential value engineering opportunities, and develop accurate project budgets and cost estimatesFacilitate effective communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to resolve project issues and mitigate risksManage project financials, including tracking project costs, monitoring budget variances, and forecasting project profitabilityLead project meetings, including kickoff meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings, to ensure alignment on project objectives, milestones, and deliverablesProvide leadership and mentorship to project team members, including project engineers, field supervisors, and subcontractors, to foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability throughout the project lifecycle

Skills/Qualifications

5 to 10 years of experience in electrical project management, with at least 5 years in project managementBA degree in Project Management or Engineering OR 10 years of experience in the fieldin electrical constructionProficiency with Procore softwareExperience with courthouse, jails, and municipal projectsMaster electrician certificationKnowledge of electrical engineering principlesProficiency in preparing and managing change orders and estimationsEffective leadership and mentorship abilitiesStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to conduct regular site visits and inspectionsExperience in managing project financials and forecasting project profitabilityCapability to lead project meetings and ensure alignment on objectives

Work Environment

This role involves traveling across the DMV area to different project sites, with a primary focus on supporting a recreation center located in Baltimore. You will be in a client-facing role, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adherence to safety standards and quality regulations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00
