MISSION / SUMMARY:

The E&I Reliability Engineers role is to lead the efforts to reduce unscheduled downtime on equipment and improve overall equipment reliability.

 

JOB FUNCTION: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following.

Lead RCFA process to identify root cause and determine corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Analyze downtime to identify “bad actors” and assist in prioritizing reliability improvement efforts. Troubleshoot chronic issues and develop action plans to minimize impact on equipment availability. Focus on developing/implementing/sustaining reliability best practices to reduce unscheduled maintenance downtime and costs. Assist in developing key reliability metrics to help measure success. Lead efforts to improve and sustain overall equipment preventive and predictive reliability strategies. Review/critique outage execution to identify obstacles and identify improvements. Assist with major equipment work scopes for bidding purposes and continue to refine/detail the scope of work. Manage contractors during outages for safety, execution and cost control. Facilitate training opportunities. Make rounds through the assigned area to look for early signs of problems and address. Develop positive working relationships with people throughout the mill.  

 

BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:

Strong experience in Reliability Engineering, root cause and failure analyses.   6+ years of electrical engineering experience preferred. Will consider a degreed electrical engineer with 2-3 years experience with demonstrated leadership, RCM, planning and scheduling best practices. 

 

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience, preferably Pulp and Paper related. Must understand RCM, planning and scheduling best practices.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS:

 Strong communication skills, leadership skills-relationship building, and group facilitation skill.  Business presence, ability to work through others, technical presence, extensive circle of influence, computer skills, and strong project management. Influence and group facilitation skills preferred.    

 

Pay Range:   $101,840.00 - $135,755.00
