Electrical Superintendent

Provides leadership for and mentors the electrical team at the Philadelphia, MS Lumber Mill. Responsible for the training of the PLC/Technical group in troubleshooting and programming PLC’s and mill-specific Optimization equipment. Leads Process Improvements through constant evaluation of mill performance and interaction with the Safety, Operations, Quality, and Maintenance Teams. This position reports to the Mill Manager

The Electrical Superintendent will plan, develop, manage, and provide effective leadership for the team through:

Ensuring the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concernsDriving an electrical safety culture based on NFPA 70E complianceActively supervising and developing the process control and electrical team to ensure effective communication across/between shifts and with the production teamsUtilizing preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtimeEfficient using of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume, and quality goals are metImplementing effective use of training resources to build team capacity by enhancing and building the team's technical skillsUsing computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources

The following qualifications are preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology discipline - electrical engineering preferredPLC ExpertFamiliarity with electrical power distribution systemsKnowledge of mechanical and fluid power systemsManufacturing plant experience

What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $97,400 - $146,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours
