PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Senior Superintendent – Electrical will lead and manage a team of forepeople on construction sites, ensuring that all electrical work is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role is critical to the successful delivery of projects, aligning with Worley’s ambition to drive sustainable transformation while bridging the gap between traditional energy sources and renewable solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and Supervision
Provide dynamic leadership to forepeople and electrical trade crews, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Ensure team members are well-trained and compliant with all safety protocols, cultivating a culture of safety and excellence.
Scheduling and Planning
Develop and implement detailed work schedules and plans to achieve project milestones.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical work into the overall project workflow.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
Enforce and uphold Worley’s comprehensive HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and site inspections to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Quality Control
Oversee the quality of all electrical work, ensuring it meets or exceeds industry standards and project requirements.
Identify and resolve quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to maintain excellence.
Cost Management
Monitor and manage project costs related to electrical work, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints without compromising quality.
Optimize resource allocation and productivity to enhance cost-efficiency.
Apprentice Training
Mentor and oversee apprentices, providing guidance to enhance their technical skills and professional development.
Support workforce development through hands-on training and knowledge sharing.
Communication
Maintain clear and effective communication with the construction management team, clients, and stakeholders.
Proactively address and resolve conflicts or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
Systems, Processes, and Tools
Leverage advanced systems and tools to improve project execution and efficiency.
Contribute to the development and adoption of innovative methodologies to enhance project outcomes.

* Educational Background\: Journeyperson electrician certification or equivalent qualifications, combined with extensive field experience in electrical construction.Leadership Skills\: Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and achieve project objectives. Experience managing teams on large-scale construction projects is essential.
Technical Expertise\: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and relevant codes and standards. Experience with high-voltage systems is an asset.
Project Management\: Proficient in planning, scheduling, and coordinating electrical work within complex projects. Familiarity with project management software is advantageous.
Safety Commitment\: Thorough understanding of workplace safety regulations and experience implementing effective safety programs on construction sites.
Quality Assurance\: Expertise in monitoring and ensuring high-quality workmanship. Ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
Communication Skills\: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interface effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Problem-Solving Abilities\: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.
Adaptability\: Ability to work in dynamic environments, manage competing priorities, and thrive under pressure.
