Determine method of construction, safety procedures and requirements, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and document actual hours worked Coordinate assigned work with different crafts, company departments and/or other contractors Maintain liaison with safety department, engineering, estimating and planning to ensure work complies with safety policies, drawings, specifications and schedules Serve as senior technical advisor to project supervision to assist in difficult construction, or start-up problems Assist in the development of supervision training programs Provide expertise and technical knowledge to others Actively track scope work utilizing the Change and Trend Management process Align crews with adequate supervision to accomplish tasks in a safe effective manner Assign Shift Work Assignments to appropriate level of supervision Coordinate subcontractor involvement in work activities Develop a strong understanding of the Clients Engineering Specifications and how they relate to specified discipline Ensure protocol is followed regarding incident reporting and review Verify quality/inspection of installation Validate that all tools and equipment being used in the work execution have been inspected and are in good repair, colour coded as required Mitigate problems arising from loss of time production and inefficiencies Provide Front Line supervision Regularly communicate work progress, schedule variance, crew and safety performance to the client and project manager Verify accuracy of daily progression Review and validate daily time sheets Manage employees through performance appraisals and discipline Follow all company policies and procedures including Company’s Health and Safety program Understand and follow company Quality Control Program Perform other duties as assignedRequired Skills
