Electrical Site Supervisor – Role & Accountabilities

Role Summary

The Electrical Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site. They ensure all electrical works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

Key Accountabilities

✅ Health, Safety & Compliance

Enforce compliance with electrical safety regulations and company HSE policies.Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety briefings.Ensure correct PPE usage and safe working practices.Investigate and report any electrical incidents or near misses.

✅ Project Execution & Supervision

Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities.Ensure electrical works align with project plans, drawings, and quality standards.Monitor progress and report delays or issues to site management.Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical systems.

✅ Coordination & Communication

Work closely with site management, engineers, and other trades to avoid clashes.Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the client as needed.

✅ Technical & Problem-Solving Support

Identify and resolve electrical issues on-site.Ensure compliance with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and regulations.Support commissioning and testing activities.

✅ Materials & Resource Management

Ensure availability of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.Monitor material usage and coordinate with procurement teams.Maintain accurate records of electrical work completed.

✅ Documentation & Reporting

Maintain site records, including daily reports, permits, and test certificates.Ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards and are signed off accordingly.Assist in the handover process, ensuring all required documentation is submitted.
