Position Title: Electrical Technician Level Ill (Lead)
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Primary Function:
Responsible, as per training administered, work related to equipment repairs, systems trouble-shooting, and changeovers, preventive maintenance activities, corrective troubleshooting on machinery, plant systems and components. Electrical/electronic lead with equipment inspection, installations, and equipment system performance improvements. Electrical shop lead, provides guidance, support and training if needed to level 2 and level 1 technicians. Performs all work in accordance to company policies, procedures and regulations contained in company GMP’S, safety standards, SOP’s and housekeeping standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Responsible and effective maintenance/ repairs of electrical/electronic systems and devices within the production operation. Provide efficient and effective technical support in maintaining established production objectives. Provide technical support to both operations and technical staff in a professional manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Electrical Technician Level 1):
Demonstrates master competency in the electrical maintenance and repair of production machinery and systems.Can develop, plan and complete project work with little or no supervision. Can establish a team to complete the project.Has a good understanding of machinery and mechanisms.Demonstrates mastery knowledge of electrical circuitry and power distribution.Demonstrate mastery knowledge of electronic controls, sensors, and various relays for production systems and machinery. Including the application and or use of the hardware.Demonstrate master proficiency in the use and application of all types of electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment.Demonstrates master competency in the maintenance and trouble-shooting of PC/PLC, including HMI, based or driven systems and machinery.Demonstrates master proficiency with the use of a laptop to connect to PLC driven equipment and diagnose/trouble-shoot to the component level. Ability to change HMI programming to conform to production needs.Demonstrates master proficient ability and understanding of ladder logic to adjust settings or modify programming, and to create ladder logic programs, to insure proper production operation.Demonstrate mastery proficiency in reading and understanding wiring diagrams, schematics and ladder logic diagrams in the function and use to trouble – shoot equipment issues.Ability to work and complete tasks assigned with no supervisionPerform assigned duties as part of a team.Assist in planning and take lead with equipment and system power installations, systems or equipment modifications, including validation and qualification procedures.Ability to locate and use equipment user manuals and room TSG’s when available.Ability to source and order parts and components.Perform all work in accordance with established company policies, procedures and regulations contained in cGMP’s, safety standards or standard operating procedures.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.Ability to operate a man lift as needed.Performs other duties, activities, or responsibilities as directed or assigned within the scope of this position.Understanding of serialized line set-ups and different work environments.Ability to troubleshoot and repair communication and network issuesUnderstanding of serialized work orders and the ability to troubleshoot common issues.Proficient in training and troubleshooting vision inspection systems and printing equipment.TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Various hand and power tools as per training administered. Electrical test meters.

High School Diploma or equivalent GEDSatisfactory completion of a four(4) year certified electrical/electronic apprenticeship program. Program must have entailed a minimum of 8,000 OJT training hours and (600) technical training hoursExperience or Equivalent:
