Studies, Tendering and Tech Advisory Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide technical support to front-line Sales and Sales Opportunities including Major Pursuits. This position is in the Technical Advisory Team of Process Automation, Energy Industries and reports to the Studies Tendering and Technical Advisory Manager.The work model for the role is: hybrid from our St Neots, Daresbury, or Aberdeen locations {#LI-hybrid}You will be mainly accountable for:•\tTaking customer RFQ / concepts and develop into electrical solutions utilizing ABB and 3rd party products and systems •\tClosely collaborating between sales manager, bid manager, operations team, other HUB LBLs and/or other BLs, to deliver compliant and quality bids. •\tManaging client relationships and must be able to present technical details according to the audience and turn them into a compelling value proposition. This may include simplifying technical details for non-technical personnel.•\tBalancing multiple projects and prioritize tasks for self and effectively engage with wider team to alleviate conflicting priorities. •\tDirecting supply chain, to optimize and improve the discounts provided by internal ABBs, and third-party companies on materials. •\tDelivering your technical knowledge and ABB capabilities to key customers including end users and EPCs. This will include accompanying front-end Sales personnel. •\tMaintaining key customer relationships (End Users and EPCs)•\tGenerating and reviewing Electrical Scopes of Supply in compliance with Clients’ RFQs•\tProducing and reviewing engineering hours estimates •\tThought leadership in the delivery and execution methodologies of Electrical opportunities and project delivery.

Qualifications for the role

\tKnowledge of electrical equipment from generation to distribution (HV, MV, LV, UPS, Power Transformers, SCADA, Electrical Control System etc.) \tHigh voltage up to 400kV experience \tReading/ Creating electrical system modelling in ETAP/ Powerfactory \tCreating substation/ E-house / Modular LER layouts\tAble to interpret HVAC, Fire and Gas detection, Fire Suppression, Cabling and Civil requirements\tAwareness of integration requirements of an electrical system with control system and telecoms system\tKnowledge of HVAC systems/ Cable calculations desirable, but not mandatory\tUnderstanding of operations and maintenance aspects of solution wrt to OPEX estimation is desirable.\tStrong communication, in both oral and written English.\tCapable of presenting to internal and external management / experts.\tCapable of building good working relationships within internal and external teams and with individuals.
