\t\t\t\t\tWe are seeking an Electrical Technician to support the design, development, testing, and implementation of undersea sensors. As an experienced electrical technician, you will be expected to leverage your skills to assemble, evaluate/test, and maintain small electrical systems. Fine pitch soldiering experience is required, as circuit card assemblies often require modification during design phases. Experience with lab test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, and function generators) is desired. You will provide feedback to the design team to help improve the assembly and maintenance of the systems, as well as aid in trouble shooting and addressing any issues the system may encounter.Day to Day:•\tUnder guidance from staff, support development of innovative undersea sensors•\tAssemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, sensors, and apparatus. You will apply your skills in areas such as, but not limited to: Digital circuit analysis and debugging, Low voltage discrete clocks, Analog circuit analysis and debugging, Impedance measurements, Cable and harness fabrication & connector crimping, Soldering (e.g., wires, circuit board modifications, etc.), Chip removal / replace, Piezoelectric soldering, and Low temperature soldering•\tTroubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment•\tConstruct and fabricate parts, such as small electro-mechanical strain gauges, in compliance with specifications•\tRead and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.•\tOrder, track, and maintain inventory of electrical supplies and equipment.
\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAdditional Skills & Qualifications
\t\t\t\t\tRequired Experience:•\t2-year electrical, technical, or related degree, or equivalent experience.•\tMinimum 2 years of demonstrated experience assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing prototype R&D systems•\tFamiliarity with tools and parts used in assembly and test of electronic hardware, including but not limited to: Solder, soldering irons, and crimp tools, Connectors, wires, shrink sleeving, and epoxies•\tFault-testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, impedance analyzers, and function generators•\tExperience working with piezoelectric materials is preferredPreferred:•\tExisting certifications relevant to creating hardware for harsh/defense environments (e.g., IPC soldering) preferred. Expired certifications acceptable, however, skill set must have been applied within the last 2 years.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
