Hexcel is currently seeking an Electrical Technician for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location.  Start rate:  $38.56 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period – normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $39.72 Per Hour.   This position is on Swing shift (3:00PM to 11:00PM, Monday – Friday + O/T as required) and pays a $1.75 per hour shift premium.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Troubleshoots and repairs all electrical and electronic systems and installs electrical systems and electronic equipment. Installs and maintains 480, 240, 120 AC systems and low voltage electrical systems. Interprets and follows electronic drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and simple ladder logic.  Makes electrical and electronic repairs or improvements to a variety of process controls, unit operations, and equipment.  Analyzes deficiencies in electrical and electronic equipment to determine cause of problems. Disassembles equipment as necessary and repairs or replaces faulty components.  Fabricates replacement parts and supports. Services and repairs lift trucks and other powered carts as necessary.  Participates in writing and constructing job plans, preventative maintenance procedures and root cause analysis. Works on weekends and holidays when requested.  Must have full working set of essential electrician tools.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) At least two years’ experience as a qualified journey-level Electrical Technician.  Technical Degree or Journey-level Certificate in the area of expertise from an accredited college or technical program may substitute for one or more years of journey-level experience.  Working knowledge of computers. Valid Driver License.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to apply mathematical concepts to electronic formulas.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as determination of test reliability and validity and electronic theory.  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
