Job Title: Electrical Technician - Manufacturing

Location: Templecombe

Hours: You will work a 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week

Due to demand we’re looking for experienced Technicians to join our Maritime Mission Systems business unit in Templecombe. With experience building electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies you’ll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality.

The product range is diverse, one day you’ll be working on a small detailed board work and another a large scale sonar product. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from a large, experienced and knowledgeable team and the opportunity to progress through the Manufacturing function or move in to Quality, People Management or Engineering in the future, all of which is fully supported by Thales.

The roles are based out of our Templecombe manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.

Key duties:

Produce on time and to quality manufacture of Electrical assemblies

Escalating blockers and issues to team Leader

Escalating Health and safety issues to team Leader

Ensuring 5S standards are met

Ensuring any quality non-conformances are logged and escalated to the Inspector or Quality representative

Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate

Experience:

Experience building electrical or electro-mechanical assemblies

Experience in wiring

The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams

Eligible to obtain full SC clearance at UK eyes only
